Terms of service

Last updated 20 October 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern access to and use of Steplot. They form a binding agreement between 3dfusionstudio ("Steplot", "we", "us" or "our") and the business entity that registers for a Steplot account (the "Customer" or "you"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms on behalf of that business.

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

  • "Service" means the Steplot mobile application, web dashboard and related services we provide.
  • "Authorised User" means an individual whom you invite to, or permit to use, your account.
  • "Job" means a unit of use of the Service relating to a single Site.
  • "Site" means a single customer property at which a Job's first photograph is taken, together with the area within 200 metres of the location where that photograph was taken.
  • "Render" means a photorealistic image generated by the Service from a photograph and a design.
  • "Customer Content" means photographs, drawings, notes, designs, Product Information and other material submitted to the Service by you or your Authorised Users, and the Renders produced from them.

2. Eligibility and accounts

2.1 The Service is provided for business use only. By registering, you represent that you are acting on behalf of a business and that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

2.2 You are responsible for all activity under your account, including the acts and omissions of your Authorised Users, and for keeping sign-in credentials secure. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

2.3 Each business may hold one account. Authorised Users must be added through the account's invitation feature and may not register separate accounts for the same business.

3. The Service

3.1 The Service enables you to design products on photographs of buildings and to generate Renders of the result.

3.2 Product setup. At your request, we may configure your products in the Service using information you provide, such as drawings, specifications, dimensions, finishes and images ("Product Information"). Product setup is provided free of charge and at our discretion.

3.3 Free product setup is limited to the allowance shown in the dashboard. Accounts that have not yet purchased Jobs are limited to 3 products. Setup beyond the allowance may be charged at the rate we quote. We schedule product setup in stages, and any timescales we give are estimates only.

3.4 You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of Product Information and for reviewing each product before use. You warrant that you have the right to provide Product Information to us, and you grant us a licence to use it for the purpose of setting up and providing the Service to you. We may decline to set up any product.

3.5 We may update, improve or modify the Service from time to time. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of the Service for paid Jobs that remain unused, except where required by law or for security reasons.

4. Jobs, fees and payment

4.1 Charging basis. The Service is charged per Job. A Job is charged when it is created. A Job created while offline is charged when it first synchronises. Each Job includes 30 AI Renders. Each further block of up to 30 AI Renders on the same Job is charged as an additional Job. Preview images, and AI Renders that fail to complete, do not count towards a Job's Renders.

4.2 One Site per Job. Each Job may be used for one Site only.

4.3 Free trial. A newly registered business receives 3 Jobs free of charge, once per business. We may withhold or withdraw free Jobs where we reasonably believe an account has been opened to obtain them more than once.

4.4 Prices. The price per Job is agreed with you and displayed in the dashboard before purchase. Prepaid Jobs are charged at the price displayed at the time of purchase. All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, which you are responsible for paying.

4.5 Payment. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store full payment card details.

4.6 Monthly invoicing. We may, at our discretion, offer monthly invoicing up to an agreed monthly limit. Invoices are payable within 15 days of the invoice date. We may suspend monthly invoicing while any invoice remains overdue.

4.7 Price changes. We may change prices on reasonable notice. A price change applies to purchases and invoices made after it takes effect and does not affect Jobs already paid for.

5. Refunds

Fees are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Site verification

The Service records the location of each photograph to verify that each Job relates to a single Site. Where we reasonably determine that a Job has been used for more than one Site, we may charge each additional Site as a separate Job or take action under clause 12.

7. Customer Content

7.1 As between the parties, you retain all rights in Customer Content, including the Renders produced for you.

7.2 You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process and transmit Customer Content solely to provide, secure and support the Service. This includes processing by the subprocessors described in our Privacy Policy.

7.3 You represent and warrant that you have all rights, consents and permissions necessary to submit Customer Content, including any permission required from the owners or occupiers of properties you photograph.

8. Nature of Renders

Designs and Renders are illustrative visual aids generated in part by artificial intelligence. They may not exactly represent dimensions, materials, colours, shading or site conditions, and they are not survey drawings, technical specifications or construction documents. You are solely responsible for verifying all measurements, site conditions, regulatory requirements and product suitability before quoting, ordering or installing any product.

9. Acceptable use

You must not, and must ensure that your Authorised Users do not:

  • use a single Job for more than one Site;
  • resell, sublicense or provide access to the Service to any person outside your business;
  • submit unlawful, infringing or harmful material;
  • attempt to circumvent, disable or interfere with the Service's security, usage limits, location checks or charging, including by simulating a device's location;
  • copy, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law; or
  • use the Service in breach of any applicable law.

10. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own all rights in the Service, including its software, design and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business purposes while your account is active. No other rights are granted.

11. Availability and warranties

11.1 We will use reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and to provide it with reasonable skill and care. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11.2 Except as expressly set out in these Terms, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and all other warranties, conditions and terms, whether express or implied, are excluded.

12. Suspension and termination

12.1 You may stop using the Service and request closure of your account at any time.

12.2 We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where reasonably practicable, if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay any amount when due, or use the Service in a way that creates a security or legal risk.

12.3 Termination does not affect amounts already due. Clauses 7.3, 8 and 13 to 16 survive termination.

13. Limitation of liability

13.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

13.2 Subject to clause 13.1, neither party is liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however arising.

13.3 Subject to clause 13.1, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against any claims, losses and costs arising from Customer Content or from your or your Authorised Users' breach of clause 7.3 or clause 9.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India. The courts of New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. General

16.1 Changes. We may amend these Terms. The current version and its effective date are published on this page. We will notify account owners by email of material changes in advance of them taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16.2 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the documents referred to in them, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Service.

16.3 Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

16.4 Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

16.5 Notices. Notices to us must be sent to support@steplot.com. We may send notices to the email address of your account owner.
